The Line-Up for 10-5-2012

I've had a lot on my mind this week, so I was wondering if I had it in my to put together a good show. However, in times of distractions, I do what comes naturally and let the music do the work for me. Fortunately, I've been listening to some pretty great stuff lately. Tia Fuller - Cherokee Saxophonist Tia Fuller has a new album out, Angelic Warrior, that I just haven't gotten around to listening to yet, but I should, and so should you. Karreim Riggins - daoooh! Pat Metheny Unity Band - Breakdealer I missed the Unity Band playing in Austin last night. I'm a little sad about this. ERIMAJ - Black Super Hero Theme Song As I said before, I've had a lot of personal things going on lately and I felt like I needed to rise above, like a black super hero. Fortunately, this song has been readily on hand in times of need. Karriem Riggins - Moogy Foog It Anat Cohen - All Brothers Anat Cohen's Claroscuro was the biggest surprise album I've heard all week. It's so good and I should have saw it coming. The Bad Plus - Wolf Out Made Possible has been out for about a week now and I'm only now getting around to listening to it. I'm glad to have this trio back. Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes Philip Dizack - Grow We're still streaming End of an Era, I figured I'd just remind you once again. Neil Cowley Trio - Slims The computer actually picked another Cowley tune but I wanted to change it out for something new and would fit better here. Austin Peralta - Ode to Love Since I've been playing Flying Lotus' Until the Quiet Comes almost incessantly, I figured I should let out some Peralta, who is all over FlyLo's latest opus. Karriem Riggins - Summer Maddness S.A. Robert Glasper Experiment feat. Me'Shell NdegéOcello - The Consequence of Jealouse (Georgia Anne Muldrow Sassy Geemix) We've been sitting on Glasper's Black Radio Recovered album for a little while now, waiting for the world to finally get the chance to hear it. I couldn't wait any longer. The remix album drops next week.
